Kay is a management trainer with practical working experience in a wide range of industry sectors. Kay has worked in sales, personnel and accounting for retail, manufacturing and service industries, her last position being as the Financial Controller in a Japanese company in the automotive industry.
Kay worked as a trainer and Area Personnel Manager for Texas Homecare, and then as Personnel Manager/Accountant in a medium sized Northamptonshire Best Western hotel. She passed her IPD (now Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development - CIPD) qualification at Nene College in Northampton. She has a BSc (2:1) in Psychology through University College Northampton. Having passed the Certificate in Life Coaching through Newcastle College she is now studying for the Diploma in Life Coaching.
Kay's diversity of skills and industry/sector exposure means delegates will benefit from her business experience and know-how.
Since joining The Development Company Limited as a Director in 1995, Kay has used her personnel experience to design and run an accredited Selection Interviewing course in which delegates are assessed via CIPD interviewing standards.

Her specialist areas include Appraisal Skills – appraiser and appraisee skills, Assertiveness/Interpersonal Skills, Team Building, Time Management, Presentation Skills, interviewing skills and and level of Supervisory or Management development. Her area of special interest is group dynamics.
